    Are you ready to flex your engineering and creativity muscles? This project is for you. With access to Littlebits Electronics and other gadgets, you can develop your original invention. You will learn about the engineering design and patenting process, the science of electronics, while fine-tuning your collaboration and presentations skills.

    Electronics with Arduino | *Suggested Grade Level: 4th – 8th

    Sensors are used in robots, smart phones, video game controllers, musical instruments, and more.  They are the eyes and ears of the machines and devices we’ve all come to rely on. Using your creativity and imagination along with an Arduino, you can create your own devices that will respond to data collected by sensors. An Arduino is an electronic brain that listens and responds to sensor data, which can create amazing LED light displays, make an alarm clock buzz, and even control the motors of a robot. During this class, you will use a variety of sensors plus an Arduino, and a little know-how to build multiple electronics projects, including musical instruments, an electronic game, and a digital thermometer. In the end, you’ll be thinking like an Electrical Engineer and learning how to use electronic components to create, invent and innovate.

    Intro to Biomedical Engineering | *Suggested Grade Level: 4th – 8th

    The fast growing field of Biomedical Engineering combines the sciences of medicine and biology with principles of engineering to help improve human health. In this project, the students will prototype a prosthetic hand, controlled by an Arduino and servos. The servos will act like muscles contracting and releasing the fingers, mimicking our own hand. Take this opportunity, and learn the basics of this dynamic engineering field!

In this camp, you will learn the basics of creating an IOS and Android app. This will be your opportunity to create an original basic app that can be downloaded to any smart phone. Start your journey to become an innovator!
